Answer: QPS = 50 DEGREES :)

Step-by-step explanation:

This is an ISOCELES TRIANGLE .

According to the property of isosceles triangle :

BASE ANGLES OPPOSITE TO EQUAL SIDES ARE ALSO EQUAL

PQ = PR , Opposite base angles are Q and R as angle P is formed by the equal sides only.

So angle Q = R ; R = 40 degrees

NOW -  Sum of all angles of triangle is 180 degrees

— angles P + Q + R = 180 i.e P + 40 + 40 = 180 ; P + 80 = 180 ; P = 100

Also , since it’s an isoceles triangle then : MEDIAN = ALTITUDE

Altitude is always straight and median divides the opposite side in half.

Since angle P is 100 so QPS will be half of P.

Angle QPS = 50 degrees
