Ans:- Functioning of alveoli in lungs are:-

1. It helps in moving air in and out of lungs.

2. It helps in exchange of gases

3. It also helps in pumping blood through lungs.

Structure of alveoli:-

1. It is cup-shaped with very thin walls of epithelial cells.

2. It is surrounded by networks of blood vessels called capillaries that also have thin walls.

Functioning of nephrons in kidney are:-

1. It helps in removing all waste products including solids waste.

It also absorbs water from waste products.

Structure of nephrons:-

1. Nephrons are the basic filtering units of kidneys.

2. Each kidney possesses large number of nephrons, approximately 1-1.5 million.

3. The main components of the nephron are glomerulus, Bowman’s capsule, and a long renal tubule.
