Question:-

Find the angle which is 24 more than its complement.

Solution:-

Let one angle be x

The larger angle will be x + 24

According to the question,

As they are complementary angles..

x + (x + 24) =  {90}^{o}

So,

2x + 24 = 90

Transport 24 to RHS

2x = 90 - 24

2x = 66

Transport '2' to RHS

x =  \frac{66}{2}

x = 33

Smaller angle = x = 33°

Larger angle = x + 24° = 33 + 24° = 57°

Extra Info :-

* The sum of two complementary angles is 90°

* The sum of two supplementary angles is 180°
