Solution :-

Taking some example first,

→ (-1)²

→ (-1) * (-1)

since (negative) * (negative) = positive,

→ 1

and,

→ (-1)³

→ (-1) * (-1) * (-1)

→ {(-1) * (-1)} * (-1)

→ 1 * (-1)

→ (-1)

conclusion :-

  • (-a)^n where n is an even number = a^n
  • (-a)^n where n is an odd number = (-1)(a^n)

so,

→ (-1) × (-1) × (-1) × ______ × (-1) (15 times)

→ (-1)¹⁵

comparing with (-a)^n we get,

  • a = 1
  • n = 15 = odd number .

then,

→ (-a)^n

→ (-1)(a^n)

→ (-1)(1¹⁵)

→ (-1) * 1

(-1) (Ans.)
