From the above x sequence, we can say that

x + x = 2 or x + x + 1 = x + 2 or x + 1 + x + 2 = x + 4.  

Therefore,

2x = 2 or 2x + 1 = x + 2 or 2x + 3 = x + 4

x = 1 or 2x - x = 2 – 1 i.e. x = 1 or 2x - x = 4 – 3 i.e. x = 1
