1) 1/2 * 3/8 * x = 21/5*20

3/16 * x = 21*4

x = 21*4/16*3

x = 7/4

2) 3/5 * x = x-140

3x = 5x - 140

140 = 2x

x = 70

3) 2x + 1/4x = 33/4

8x+x/4 = 33/4

9x = 33

x= 11/3

4) 75-6*10 = 75-60 = 15

15 + 5*2 = 15 +10 = 25

5) -24-(-43)]+[25-{24 (-40)}

=> -24+43+25-24+40

=> 60

6) 5.20*0.75 = 3.9m
