1\frac{1}{2} liters fill \frac{3}{4}  of a can.

x liters fill complete can (1)

1\frac{1}{2} liters = \frac{3}{4} of a can

x  liters  = 1 can completely

by cross multiplication we get,

x * \frac{3}{4} = 1 * \frac{3}{2} => x = \frac{3}{2} * \frac{4}{3}  => x = \frac{4}{2} = 2

2 liters of water is required to fill the can completely.
