,The temperature-time graph is as shown in the figure.

The graph shows that: when a piece of ice at 0°C is heated, the heat energy is used to change its phase from ice to water. Thus there is no increase in temperature, hence it remains the same. So, AB is a straight line parallel to the time axis. When ice has completely converted to water, its temperature rises, thus line BC is a straight line with a positive slope. When the temperature has reached to 100°C, phase change happens at this stage, i.e., water starts boiling and converts into steam. Here the temperature remains constant. Hence, CD is a straight line parallel to time axis. After all the water particles have completely converted to steam, the temperature rises, which results the positive slope of the graph from point D.
