1. i) The ideas of the upanishadic thinkers are not far different from those of the fatalists and materialists.

ii)Upanishad trusts and demonstrates Karma Philosophy. It means men and women should act and not worry about getting rewards while Fatalists believed in the knowledge of work without thinking of the values.

2. The central teachings of Jainism are-

i) The complete world is animated which means stones, rocks and water have life.

ii) They trust in non-injury to living beings, specially to human beings, faunas, plants and insects.

iii) The sequence of birth and rebirth is formed through the person’s karma.

Lord Gautama Buddha was a contemporary of Mahavira. Gautama Buddha's real name was Siddhartha. He was the lad of Suddhodhana. He was born in 566 B.C. in the village of Lumbini.  His mother, Mahamaya expired, when he was only seven days old. Buddha was a liberal personality and he spoke all the people to follow the correct path of Living and taught how to maintain peace and harmony
