Difference in Values for x=1 and x=3

 {3}^{2}  -  {1}^{2}  = 8

Since the given difference is 32, so 4 needs to be multiplied to 8.

Now we have x= –2

 { - 2}^{2}  = 4

y = 4 \times 4 = 16

Therefore, y=16 when x= –2
