${3}^{2} - {1}^{2} = 8$

Since the given difference is 32, so 4 needs to be multiplied to 8.

Now we have x= –2

${ - 2}^{2} = 4$

$y = 4 \times 4 = 16$

Therefore, y=16 when x= –2
