Write 1+tan²θ = sec²θ and 1+cot²θ = cosec²θ. By diving both we get tan²θ.
RHS: Write cotθ = 1/tanθ. Take LCM. Now, the 1-tanθ term gets cancelled on the numerator and denominator. You will now be left with (-tanθ)².
∴LHS=RHS
