10. The base and perimeter of an isosceles triangle are 3 ×1/2 and 12 cm. Find the length of each

base= 3×1/2= 3/2

perimeter= 12

in isosceles triangle the other two sides are equal other than the base therefore take another side = x

perimeter= x+x+ base

perimeter= 2x+ 3/2

12=2x+ 3/2

2x= 12 - 3/2

2x= 21/2

x=21/4

x= 5.25

thus measure of other two side = 5.25 ( each)
