Hiii friend,

10/X+Y + 2/X-Y = 4-------(1)

15/X+Y - 5/X-Y = -2--------(2)

Let 1/X+Y = U and 1/X-Y = V . Then equation (1) and equation (2) becomes,

10U + 2V = 4-------(3)

15U - 5V = -2-------(4)

From equation (3) we get,

10U + 2V = 4

10U = 4-2V

U = 4-2V/10-------(5)

Putting the value of U in equation (4)

15U - 5V = -2

15 × (4-2V/10) - 5V = -2

3(4-2V/2) - 5V = -2

12 - 6V/2 - 5V = -2

12 - 6V - 10V = -2 × 2

-16V +12 = -4

-16V = -4-12

-16V = -16

V = -16/-16 = 1

Putting the value of V in equation (5)

U = 4-2V/10 => 4 - 2 × 1/10 = 4-2/10 = 2/10

U = 2/10 = 1/5

1/X+Y = U

1/X+Y = 1/5

5 = X + Y

X + Y = 5---------(6)

And,

1/X - Y = V

1/X-Y = 1

X - Y = 1-----------(7)

From equation (6) we get,

X + Y = 5

X = 5-Y------------(8)

Putting the value of X in equation (7)

X - Y = 1

5-Y -Y = 1

-2Y = 1-5

-2Y = -4

Y = -4/-2 => 2

Putting the value of Y in equation (8)

X = 5-Y => 5-2 = 3

Hence,

X = 3 and Y = 2

HOPE IT WILL HELP YOU....... :-)
