Let the principal = Rs. x

S.I = Rs.

x× 2

11×5 = Rs.

40

11x

Amount =P+S.I.= 1x+ 40

11x = 40

40x×11x

= 4051x

But 4051x

=2040

⇒51x=2040×40.

⇒x=

40×51

2040

= Rs. 1600
