As we have given that there are 3 boxes of different weights.

let the first box be x , second box be y and third box be z.

Then the equation will be....

x = 2+y

z = 10+y

and , x+y+z= 54.

then

2+y+y+10+y = 54

12+3y =54

3y= 54 - 12

y = 42\ 3

y = 12.

then the value of x box is .

x = 2+y

x= 2+12

x = 14 kg .
