a) We sprinkle fine powder on a carrom board because it makes the bord smoother and the carrom coins go around easily.

b) Copper cannot displace zinc from its salt solution because zinc is more reactive than copper. More reactive metal displaces less reactive metal from its salt solution. Zn has displaced copper, but copper cannot do so.

c) The pressure exerted by the sharp knife edge is more than that exerted by the blunt one because the area on which force is exerted with a sharp knife is very small.
