1/2 x 5/6 + 1/3 x 1/4

Now, we follow the bodmas rule which tells us what to do first

B - by, O - of, D - division, M - multiplication, A - addition, S - subtraction

But, it is always good to see if we can take anything common from the equation as it shortens it very much.

Here, we can take 1/12 as common.

= 1/12 (5 + 1)

= 1/12 x 6 = 1/2 : Ans

You saw how short it became after taking common.

Hope I helped

Answer:

  • 1/2*5/6+1/3*1/4
  • first multiply the 1/2 and 5/6
  • after multiplying we get 5/12
  • and after it multiply 1/3 and 1/4
  • after multiplying we get 1/12
  • and we get 5/12+1/2
  • so we get 6/12
  • and after converting it in simple form we get 1/2
  • so ans is 1/2
