Step-by-step explanation:

\huge\underline\mathfrak{Answer}

 \frac{1}{2} (5x - 30) -   \frac{1}{3} (1 + 7p) =  \frac{1}{4}

But given that x = p+p = 2p

So,

 \frac{1}{2} (10p - 30) -  \frac{1}{3} (1 + 7p) =  \frac{1}{4}

5p - 15 -  \frac{1}{3}  -  \frac{7p}{3}  =  \frac{1}{4}

 \frac{8p}{3}  -  \frac{46}{3}  =  \frac{1}{4}

 \frac{8p - 46}{3 }  =  \frac{1}{4}

On cross multiplication,

4(8p - 46) = 1(3)

32p - 184 = 3

32p = 187

p =  \frac{187}{32}

p = 5.84

x = p + p

x = 5.84 + 5.84

x = 11.68
