Answer:

The Sun is, as most people would say, very important to life on Earth.

The Sun provides heat to the Earth. The Sun heats up the Earth, so that it is the right temperature for animals to live. Without the Sun, Earth would be a cold wasteland.

The Sun provides light. The light helps provide energy to the Earth, through electromagnetic energy. It also helps animals see in the day and the night (through the moon). This light also helps plants grow, and since plants consume carbon dioxide, and produce oxygen, plants are vital to human life.

The Sun’s gravity helps keep the planets in a steady orbit around the Sun. Without it, the planets would have fallen out of place.

These are the 3 main reasons why the Sun is important.
