Answer:

X= -4/5

Step-by-step explanation:

First :

Multiply:  1/2 (x+1)

= 1/2x + 1/2

Multiply: 1/3 (x-1)

= 1/3x-1/3

Multiply: 5/12 (x-2)

= 5/12x - 5/6

     Take the numbers with x a side and the numbers it self in another side

1/2x + 1/2+1/3x-1/3=5/12x - 5/6

       like this :

 1/2x+1/3x-5/12x=-5/6-1/2+1/3

       as we can see that some of them have changed the + to - and - to +

and that because we swithced there places.

and then sum and subtract:

5/4x= -1

then devide -1 over 5/4

and the result will be X= -4/5
