By solving the value of x and y

x = - 0.167   and y = 0.25

Step-by-step explanation:

\frac{1}{2} (x + 2y) + \frac{5}{3} (3x -2y) =\frac{-3}{2}

=> 3(x+2y) + 10(3x-2y) = -9

=> 3x+ 6y+30x-20y = -9

=> 33x - 14y = -9.........(1)

5/4(x+2y) - 3/5(3x-2y)=61/60

=> 75(x+2y)-36(3x-2y) = 61

=> 75x+150y-108x+72y = 61

=> -33x+222y = 61............(2)

Now, adding equation  (1) and (2), we get

-14y+222y = -9+61

=> 208y = 52

=> y = 52/208

=> y = 1/4

   y = 0.25

now find the value of x, by putting value of y in equation (1), we get

33x - 14(1/4) = -9

33x - 7/2 = -9

33x = -9+7/2

33x = -11/2

x = - 11/66

x = -1/6

x = -0.167

Hence,  x = - 0.167   and y = 0.25
