Answer:
1.23(a) The nuclear force is a force that acts between the protons and neutrons of atoms. The nuclear force is the force that binds the protons and neutrons in a nucleus together.
(b) The strong force binds quarks together in clusters to make more-familiar subatomic particles, such as protons and neutrons. It also holds together the atomic nucleus and underlies interactions between all particles containing quarks. The strong force originates in a property known as colour.
1.24(a)The Four Fundamental Forces of Nature are Gravitational force, Weak Nuclear force, Electromagnetic force and Strong Nuclear force. The weak and strong forces are effective only over a very short range and dominate only at the level of subatomic particles. Gravity and Electromagnetic force have infinite range.
(b) With respect to classical physics, conservation laws include conservation of energy, mass (or matter), linear momentum, angular momentum, and electric charge. Most conservation laws are exact, or absolute, in the sense that they apply to all possible processes.
