1. 24g salt is dissolved in 300 g solution. Calculate the concentration in terms of mass
by mass percentage of the solution.



2. 40 g salt is dissolved in
a solution having concentration 10 % w/w. Find the mass of solvent.​

Answer:

1) % w/w = mass of solute÷mass of solution×100

=24÷300×100

=8g

2) same equation as above.

10 = 40÷ mass of solution × 100

=400g is the mass of solution.

therefore, 400= mass of solvent + 40

mass of solvent = 360g
