2C6H5CHO+OH− ⟶

C6H5COO−+C6H5CH2OH

In given reaction,

C6H5CHO is oxidised to C6H5COO− as well as reduced to C6H5CH2OH (Canizzaro reaction).

CH3COCH3+Zn(Hg) ⟶ CH3CH2CH3+2Zn(Hg)

In given reaction,

CH3COCH3 is reduced to CH3CH2CH3 as well as forms two times of Zn(Hg) (Clemmensen reaction).

CH3COCH3+H2NNH2 ⟶ CH3CH2CH3+H2O+N2

In given reaction,

CH3COCH3 is reduced to CH3CH2CH3 as well as forms H2O and N2

(Wolff Kishner Reaction).
