GIVEN :-

  • Area of the rectangular mango grove = 800 m²
  • Length is twice its breadth

TO FIND :-

  • Length of the rectangular mango grove
  • Breadth of the rectangular mango grove

SOLUTION :-

                 \setlength{\unitlength}{1 mm}\begin{picture}(0,0)\put(32,-2){$\tt{Breadth = x }$}\put(0,-16) {$\tt{Length = 2x}$}\put(-11.5,8.2){\line(0,-6){17}}\put(30.5,8.2){\line(-4,0){42}}\put(30.5,-8.8){\line(-4,0){42}}\put(30.3,8.1){\line(0,-4){17}}\end{picture}

   Let ,

   Length = 2x

   Breadth = x

   Area = Length × Breadth

       \hookrightarrow \sf x \times 2x = 800\\\\\hookrightarrow 2x^2 = 800\\\\\hookrightarrow x^2 = 400\\\\\hookrightarrow x =\pm\sqrt{400} \\\\\hookrightarrow \bf x = \pm 20

    Length cannot be negative .

     So x = 20

  • Breadth of the rectangular mango grove = 20m

  • Length of the rectangular mango grove = 40m
