According to given question

when 2 is subtracted from the numerator it becomes 1/3

therefore
x-2/y=1/3
cross multiply
it becomes ,3x-6=y
3x-y=6............ eqa 1
again 1 is subtracted from denominator fraction becomes 1/2.

therefore ,x/y-1=1/2

2x-y=-1 ............ equ 2
from equation 1 and 2 ,we have
x=7 and y=15

therefore ,fraction is 7/12
