1/3x+y=10/3

=y=10/3-1/3x

now put the value of x and get answer of y

2x+1/4y=11/4

2x=11/4-1/4y

x=11/4-1/4y*1/2

now put the value of y and get answer of x

Given Equation is (1/3)x + y = 10/3 ------ (1)

Given Equation is 2x + (1/4)y = 11/4 ------ (2)

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Multiply Equation (1) * 3, we get

= > x + 3y = 10 ----- (3)

Multiply Equation (2) * 4, we get

= > 8x + y = 11 ----- (4)

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

On solving (3) * 8 & (4), we get

= > 8x + 24y = 80

= > 8x + y = 11

---------------------

23y = 69

y = 3.

Substitute y = 3 in (3), we get

= > x + 3y = 10

= > x + 3(3) = 10

= > x + 9 = 10

= > x = 1.

Therefore, the value of x = 1 and y = 3.

Hope this helps!
