1/4 of a number, subtracted from 1/3 of the same number gives 12. What is the number?

hey buddy !! here's your answer...

★ let the number be x .

so according to question,

x/3 - x/4 = 12

★ taking l.c.m.

4x - 3x/12 = 12

x/12 = 12

x = 12 x 12

x = 144✔️✔️

let number be x it's one fourth is x/4 and one third is x/3 so x/3 -x/4 = 12 gives 4x -3x /12 =12 then x = 12x12 hence number x equal to 144.
