1/4 of tank contains fuel

Fuel = 11 litres

Capacity of tank. Is by Multiply 4 × 11 so we can get the capacity of tank because 1/4 is fuel and 11 litres of fuel.
Therefore, we multiply

11 × 4 = 44
 \bold {\boxed {\boxed {Capacity \: Of \: Fuel = 44 \: Litres}}}

Let, the capacity of tank is x liter .

initially 1/4 of the tank contains fuel

i.e x/4 liter fuel are in the tank

when, 11 liter of the fuel is powered , the indicator rests at 1/2 mark .

•°• x/4 + 11 = x/2

=> x/2 - x/4 = 11

=> (2x - x)/4 = 11

=> x = 44liter .

Henec, capacity of the tank is 44 liters
