To arrange :  following numbers in the ascending order .  

Given data : \frac{1}{5} ,\frac{3}{5} ,\frac{4}{5} ,\frac{2}{5}

Solution :

  • To arrange numbers in ascending order is to write number from smaller to bigger.
  • Therefore , to arrange given rational numbers in the ascending order we need to equalize denominators of all the rational numbers by taking LCM if necessary But here denominators are all equal .
  • Therefore , we simply arrange them in ascending order.

         Ascending order :    \frac{1}{5} < \frac{2}{5} < \frac{3}{5} <\frac{4}{5}
