Step-by-step explanation:

Let the cost of one chair be =X

and cost of one table be =Y

So ,

5x+4y= 2800 eq1 ×by4

4x+3y= 2170 eq 2 ×by5

thus eq we obtain by multiplication of eq 1 and 2 are :

20x+ 16y = 11200 obtain from eq1

Let this eq be 3

20x+15y=10850 obtain from eq 2

Let this eq be 4

Now subtract eq3 and eq4

20x+16y-20x-15y= 11200- 10850

y= 350

Now put the value of y in eq 1

20x+16(350) = 11200

20x+5600 = 11200

20x=11200-- 5600

20x=5600

x=5600/20

x= 280

so the cost of one chair is 280Rs and cost of one table is 350Rs
