1. A convex mirror has a reflecting surface that bulges outside while

a concave mirror, the reflecting surface that bulges inwards.

convex mirror = diverging mirror

concave mirror= converging mirror

convex mirror virtual image is formed

concave mirror real or virtual image is formed

covex mirror used as rear view mirror in cars nd bikes

concave mirror used as reflectors in projectors.

convex mirror reflecting surface is away from the center of curvature.

concave mirror reflecting surface is towards the center of curvature.

2. Convex lens refers to the lens which merges the light rays at a particular point, that travels through it.

Concave lens can be identified as the lens which disperses the light rays around, that hits the lenses

covex lens are Outward

concave lens are Inward

covex lens diverges

concave lens inverges

convex lens are thicker at the center, as compared to its edges.

concave lens are thinner at the center, as compared to its edges.

convex lens appear closer and larger.

concave lens appear smaller and farther.

3.real image can be taken on the screen.

virtual image cannot be taken on the screen

real images rays of light after reflection meets at a point

virtual images rays of light after reflection or refraction appears to meet at a point

real image is always inverted

virtual image are always irrect and laterally inverted.
