Bunti360: Sorry to say, But, It's wrong !. x = 4, and y = 2 !. Check it by substituting them !.
Bunti360: you made a mistake at multiplication by 4, it will be 24.4 not 28.4

Here is the solution :

To make it easier let's multiply 10 on both equations and on both sides,

=> 1st Equation : 15x + 1y = 62
=>2nd Equation : 30x - 4y = 112,

Now multiply 1st Equation with 2 and subtract it from 2nd Equation,

=> 1st Equation *2

=> 30x + 2y = 124,

Subtracting it from 2nd Equation,

=> (2)nd Eq - (1)St Eq,

30x - 4y = 112,
30x + 2y = 124

(-). (-). (-)

=> -6y = -12,

=> y = 2,

Substituting this in 1st Equation,

=> 15x + y = 62,

=> 15x + 2 = 62,

=> 15x = 60,

=> x = 4,

Therefore : Value of x is 4, And y is 2 !.

Hope you understand, Have a Great day !..
Thanking you, Bunti 360 !..
