Answer:

5x-3y=8

3x+y=2multiply this equation with 3

after multiplying we get:

9x+3y=6

then we solve these two equations:

5x-3y=8

9x+3y=6

-4x+0=6,x=-6/4,x=-3/2

now put the value of x in equation 3x+y=2we get :

3(-3/2)+y=2

-9/2+y=2,y=2+9/2

y=4+9/2,y=13/2

now we have to check that whether our question is correct or not for that put the values of x and y in one of the given equation we put these values in eq.3x+y=2

3(-3/2)+13/2=2,-9/2+13/2=2,4/2=2,2=2so our left hand side and right hand side are equal it means our question is correct .
