Step-by-step explanation:

x + 1/6 + 3/6 = 1

x = 1 - 4/6

x = (6-4)/6 = 2/6 = 1/3

➤ Answer :-

Part of garden left to grow grass :-

⇢ \sf1 -  \frac{1}{6}  +  \frac{3}{6}  \\

⇢ \sf1 -  \frac{1 + 3}{6}  \\

⇢ \sf \frac{1}{1}  -  \frac{4}{6}  \\

LCM of 1 and 6 is 6.

⇢ \sf \frac{1 \times 6}{1 \times 6}  -  \frac{4}{6}  \\

⇢ \sf \frac{6}{6}  -  \frac{4}{6} =  \frac{6 - 4}{6}   \\

⇢ \sf  \cancel\frac{2}{6}  =  \frac{1}{3}  \\

 \Huge\therefore \sf\frac{1}{3} \\ of the garden is left to grow grass.
