Hello Friend! :D
Sheena here...

Q. -[(-1)+(-7)]
In such cases you should use the distributive property.
In distributive property when there is 2 numbers in bracket and a sign or number outside the bracket you should multiply the number outside the bracket with the numbers inside the bracket.
So in this case there is a sign,
I hope you know the change in sign where 2 signs meet.
If no? Don't worry I will tell you :-)
=> When there are 2 positive sign nearby convert both to a single positive sign.
=> + + = +
=> When there are two negative signs nearby nearby convert both to a single positive integer.
=> - - = +
=> When there is a positive sign and a negative sign nearby convert both of them to a single negative sign.
=> + - = -
*You should know this by heart because this will help you a lot in the integers chapter*
So Now you should use the properties in your answer.
Q. -[(-1)+(-7)]
So it will be like this after the conversion of signs,
+1 + +7
(by taking the minus sign from outside the bracket and taking another sign of both the integers we converted it by using the properties given above.)
So Now its easy to do calculations.
+1+7
=+8
So the answer is 8.

Hope this helped you!

heya mate
here is your answer
actually we can do this sum in different ways
☆ U can use property
☆ U can solve by bracket method
now here iam using BRACKET METHOD
In this method we will 1stly solve the numbers which are in bracket and then move on to the next bracket
so here , lemme show uh
-[(-1)+(-7)]
》if there is plus symbol in front of any minis symbol , there won't be any value
also we can say that
(+) × (-) = (-)
so by using this we get
-[ -1 -7 ]
》-[-8]
(-) × (-) = (+)
sho now
-(-8)
= 8
so the answer is "8"
i hope it helped uh
thank uh
