1/√7 = p/q

1/√7 = a/b ( where a& b are co primes )

√7 = 1a / b

Since a & b are integers , definitely 1a/b is rational number , also √7 is also rational number .

But this contradicts that √7 is irrational .

Our assumption is wrong .

Therefore 1/√7 is irrational .
