Answer:- Molecular mass of the gas is 18.24 gram per mol.

Solution:- NTP means normal temperature(293 K) and pressure(1 atm). At NTP, the volume of 1 mol of a gas is 24.04 L.

Now, with the help of this, the moles of the gas for it's 2.24 L as:

2.24L(\frac{1mol}{24.04L})

= 0.0932 mol

On dividing the given grams by the moles we can calculate the molecular mass of the gas.

molecular mass = \frac{1.7g}{0.0932mol}

= \frac{18.24g}{mol}

So, the molecular mass of the gas is 18.24 gram per mol.
