LCM of 8, 4, 2 and 1 : 8

$\frac{3 \times 2}{4 \times 2} = \frac{6}{8}$

$\frac{3 \times 4}{2 \times 4} = \frac{12}{8}$

$\frac{1 \times 8}{1 \times 8} = \frac{8}{8}$

now we have all like fractions we can add them

$\frac{1}{8} + \frac{6}{8} + \frac{12}{8} + \frac{8}{8} = \frac{1 + 6 + 12 + 8}{8} = \frac{27}{8}$
