\huge{\mathbb{SOLUTION-}}

\texttt{Let\:total\:number\:of\:passengers\:in\:the\:train=y}

\texttt{According\:to\:the\:question}

Number of men = \frac{2}{5} ×y

Number of women = 380

Number of children = \frac{1}{8}× y

Adding the number of women,children and men gives us the total number of passengers

\frac{1*y}{8} + \frac{2*y}{5} + 380 = y

\frac{y}{8} + \frac{2y}{5} - y = -380

LCM = 40

\frac{5y+16y-40y}{40} = -380

\frac{-19y}{40} = -380

\texttt{-19y=\:-380(40)}

\texttt{-19y\:=\:-15200}

\texttt{y=800}

There were 800 passengers in the train
