Hi ,

1 - 8x³ + y³ + 6xy

*****************************
We know the algebraic identity,

a³ + b³ + c³ - 3abc

= ( a + b + c )( a² + b² + c² - ab - bc - ca )

****************************************

= 1³ + ( -2x )³ + y³ - 3 × 1 × ( -2x ) y

=[ 1+ (-2x)+y] [1²+(-2x)²+y²-1×(-2x)-(-2x)y-y×1 ]

= ( 1-2x+y )[ 1 + 4x² + y² + 2x + 2xy - y ]

I hope this helps you.
