Given:–

  • Part of hats sold at local sports shop = 1/9
  • Part of remainder made of net = 5/8
  • Number of denim hats that shop had = 81

To find:–

  • Net hats more than denim hats shop have ?

Step by step explaination:–

At first let us assume the total hats be y.

Therefore,

Hats with laces would be y/9

Remaining hats would be 8y/9

Now hats made of net would be calculated by multiplying the part of remainder with remaining hats.

5/8 × 8y/9

Reducing to their lowest terms.

5y/9

Here now we are calculating the denim hats by subtracting y from total of hats with laces and hats of net.

y - (5y/9 + y/9)

Reducing to their lowest terms.

3y/9

Thus,

3y/9 = 81 and value of y will be 243.

Net hats:- (5/9)243

→ 135

At last according to the question we are calculating the more hats than denim hats that shop had:-

135 - 81

→ 54

Conclusion:–

More net hats than denim hats did the shop have is 54.
