Let total shirts be x.
Then, Striped shirts = 1/9x
Remaining Shirts= 8/9x
Therefore, Printed Shirts = 5/8 × 8/9x
= 5/9x
Remaining Shirts
or
Plain Shirts= x - ( 5/9x + 1/9x )
= 3/9x
Acc. to problem,
Plain Shirts=81
Therefore,
3/9x=81
=> x=81×9/3
=> x=27×9=243
Therefore,
Total Shirts= 243
Then, Striped shirts = 1/9x
Remaining Shirts= 8/9x
Therefore, Printed Shirts = 5/8 × 8/9x
= 5/9x
Remaining Shirts
or
Plain Shirts= x - ( 5/9x + 1/9x )
= 3/9x
Acc. to problem,
Plain Shirts=81
Therefore,
3/9x=81
=> x=81×9/3
=> x=27×9=243
Therefore,
Total Shirts= 243
