⭕An electrical appliance is said to be of power 1watt if it draws a current of one ampere when connected to a potential difference of 1 volt.⭕

1kW = 1000W

⚫Numerically :---

When v= 1volt , I = 1 ampere then P = 1watt.

1watt = 1volt × 1 ampere..

⚫NOTE:- WATT IS THE SMALLEST UNIT OT POWER....

⚫ FORMULA:- I²R = V²/R = V× I

DEFINITION

Watt is the unit of power (symbol: W). The wattunit is named after James Watt, the inventor of the steam engine. One watt is defined as the energy consumption rate of one joule per second. 1W = 1J / 1s. One watt is also defined as the current flow of one ampere with voltage of onevolt.
