1. (a) A car accelerates at a constant rate of 1.83 m/s along a flat straight road.
The force acting on the car is 1.870 KN.
Calculate the mass of the car.
Give your answer to three significant figures.

Explanation:

as the acceleration is constant so apply F=ma

We get m=F/a

so m=1.87×10³/1.83 =1.02×10³ kg

(b) here the car accelerate from rest so initial speed 'u' is equal to zero

hence applying v=u+at

v=0+1.83×16=29.3m/s
