Answer:

1 . For white ball => white ball/total ball => 4/12 = 1/3

2. For red ball => 3/12=1/4

3. For blackball => 5/12

4. not to be red ball it means the bau will either black or white therefore => total black white ball/total no. balls => 9/12=3/4

No. of Red balls = 3

No. of black balls = 5

No. of white balls = 4

Total number of balls = 3 + 5 + 4 = 12

(i) Number of white balls = 4

Total number of balls = 12

• Probability of getting a white ball = 4/12 = 1/3

(ii) Number of red balls = 3

Total number of balls = 12

• Probability of getting a red ball = 3/12 = 1/4

(iii) Number of black balls = 5

Total number of balls = 12

• Probability of getting a black ball = 5/12

(iv) Number of balls which are not red = 5+4 = 9

Total number of balls = 12

• Probability of getting a ball which is not red

• Probability of getting a ball which is not red = 9/12 = 3/4
