1. A ball of mass 100 g moving with a speed of
72 km per hour is hit by a bat that changes its
speed to 144 km per hour. Find the change
in the kinetic energy of the ball.
2. If the mass of a block is increased four times,
find the factor by which its speed should
change so that its kinetic energy remains the
same.

Your answer is here:-

m = 100g = 0.1 kg

u = 72 km/hr => 20 m/s

v = 144 m/s => 40 m/s K.E.=> 1/2 × 1/10 × ( 1600-400)

K.E.=> 1/20 × 1200

K.E.=> 60 Joule ans.
