  1. A body can never accelerate when a balanced force acts on it. In order for a body to change its natural state [ motion or rest ] , an unbalanced fore must act on it.
  2. Frictional force is defined as the force which generally opposes the motion of a body [ at times , it supports the motion ] . Friction is caused due to the interlocking of the ridges of the two surfaces. If the mass of the body is heavier , the friction increases but if the body is lighter , it decreases.In the above case , the mass of a box filled with books is more when compared to that of an empty one. Hence it is easier to move an empty box rather than a full one.
