1. A body starts to slide over a horizontal surface with an initial velocity of 0.5m/s . Due to friction, it's velocity decreases at the rate of 0.05 m/s. How much time will it take for the body to stop?

v=0m/s (because it comes to rest)

a= (-0.05 m/s^2) ....... as the velocity is decreasing

To find = t

We know a=(v-u)/t

replacing values

-0.05 = (0-0.5)/t

-0.05 = -0.5/t

0.05 = 0.5/t

t= 0.5/0.05

t=50/5

t=10s
