Given :-
- Length of box = 0.6m
- Breadth of box = 0.8m
- Height of box = 1m
- Force = 20N
To Find :-
- Pressure experienced by the table
Solution :-
★ Area of box = Area of cuboid ★
→ 2(lb + bh + lh)
→ 2(0.6 × 0.8 + 0.8 × 1 + 0.6 × 1)
→ 2(0.48 + 0.8 + 0.6)
→ 2 × 1.88
→3.76 m²
As we know that
→ Pressure = Force/Area
→ Pressure = 20/3.76
→ Pressure = 5.31 N/m²
Extra Information
- S.I unit of pressure is N/m²(Pascal)
- S.I unit of Force is Newton (N)
- S.I unit of Area is m²
